Our history.

AUTEX already has a history in the automotive industry going back more than 60 years: a time of constant changes and innovations in the vehicle industry, which we have pursued with passion. 

AUTEX Autoteile Export GmbH in its current form is a product of the amalgamation in 2006 of the two companies Klotz Industrie- & Autoteile GmbH and AUTEX Autoteile Export GmbH. Klotz GmbH, founded in 1954, quickly became a successful FAG base support unit trader in the Rhineland. Its considerable success, including in international exports, was achieved by its pioneering work in the introduction of HK wheel bearing kits. 

Over the years, the progress made in the wholesale industry became so far-reaching that in 1994 it was deemed a sensible choice to split the business segments. As a result, HK Autoteile GmbH was formed as a manufacturer and Klotz Industrie & Autoteile GmbH as a regional wholesaler. HK Autoteile was later taken over by the FAG Group and has now been incorporated into the Schaeffler Group. 

AUTEX Autoteile Export GmbH was founded in 1978 as a subsidiary of Lemförder Metallwaren AG and was part of the ZF trading group until October 2005. The successful sale of the GK water pumps was quick to develop into a vital pillar. 

The current commercial programme came about by the merging of Klotz and AUTEX after 2006. With GK water pumps and INA belt drive components, wheel bearing kits and industrial bearings, AUTEX has earned itself a good reputation all over the world for quality, practicability and service. With its GK water pumps, AUTEX received the status of IPAS - International Preferred ATR Supplier from trade cooperation ATR International AG. Since 2006, AUTEX had been meeting the high quality standards of TecDoc and belongs to the Certified Data Supplier group. Since the end of 2011, AUTEX has been a supplier for SELECT AG.
